In the framework of the festival of actual scientific cinema "FAN" at the national research nuclear University "MIFI" from December 4 starts the screening of films.

The first of them will be the film directed by Anton Sobolevsky "Arctic. Looking glass.» The film tells about the unique and rich underwater world of the North.

The second film "Silicon valley Stories" will introduce the audience to the place where the companies that created the modern computer industry were founded.

- The Institute has a small division of the student-scientific society. They hold informative lectures and show similar films, - told the press service of the MIFI.

You can get acquainted with the underwater world of the Arctic on December 4 at 18:00. And learn the history of Silicon valley-December 7 at 19: 00.

Nuclear icebreakers of the state Corporation "Rosatomflot" completed summer-autumn navigation, the gross capacity of the vessels compared to last year increased by more than 1.5 times, to 1.06 million tons. This was reported on Friday by the press service of "Rosatomflot".

"The gross capacity of all vessels was more than 1 million 60 thousand tons against 0.64 million tons in 2017," the report said.

As part of the final flight of the nuclear icebreaker "Yamal" held the ship "Tambey", owned by the company "TC "Northern project", with the RAID Pevek in the direction of the port of Arkhangelsk, the wiring took 8 days. In total, from June to November, The rosatomflot nuclear ships carried out 70 vessels, 52 of them under the flag of Russia. In 2017, there were 87 ship transactions in summer and autumn, but their total gross tonnage was more than 1.5 times lower.

On December 1, the nuclear icebreakers Taimyr and Yamal will start operating in the Ob Bay. Nuclear-powered icebreakers "50 years of Victory" and "Vaigach" will be in the home port of Murmansk until the end of December, and from January 1, 2019 they will begin work in the waters of the Northern sea route.
