The military began to eliminate the consequences of environmental damage in the Arctic

Employees of the Central Military District (CIC) have begun to eliminate the consequences of environmental damage in the Arctic zone. On this RIA Novosti said the commander of the troops of the district, Colonel-General Vladimir Zarudnitsky.

 

"The first platoon formed this year on the environmental impact in the Arctic zone in May started work in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, south of the Taimyr Peninsula," Zarudnitsky said.

The commander specified that the unit of 20 people is fully manned by contract servicemen and equipped with cross-country vehicles. "The personnel is provided with engineering equipment, special equipment and the necessary material resources," Zarudnitsky said.

"In 2018 rounded forms another similar platoon for the environmental cleanup of the Russian Defense Ministry's land in the Arctic," the commander of the troops of the Central Air Command summarized.
